The band grew up singing in churches and was first formed in 2011. The track ‘Little Betsy’ is from their debut EP ‘Finding Betsy’, which mostly rhapsodizes about the endemic maladies of drug abuse, violence and bloodshed which have become synonymous with the region (northeast India).
The band seems to be eclectic in their inspiration, which is visibly derivative of various genres like classic rock, funk rock, reggae and indie rock. The all-girl band that hails from Manipur is currently based in Delhi and is made up of the three Muivah siblings; Worshon (vocal, guitar and synth), Singchon (bass) and Thotyaphy (drums and percussions). Plus they have been touted as one of the best all-girl Indian band by
Pepsi MTV Indies. Having found their own sound and own stories to articulate, we at NeBuzz are high on anticipation of this band and their future releases.
