“Everybody has some sort of beauty, in one way or another. I suppose the lucky ones are those who choose the better side of themselves and use them in their day-to-day lives.”
‘A Portrait’ is an introspective narration by Temsuyanger Longkumer, an artist originally from Nagaland but now based in London, about his life as an artist. The film shows the artist working on ‘Superstars’, a series of conceptualized portraits that was made using buffalo skulls as the base. The inspiration for the series is a marriage of his cultural roots and the influence of remarkable people who have impacted his life in different ways and is a true testament of his versatility as an artist working across a spectrum of mediums and the
eclectic nature of his musings.
